29.7cm x 110cmDigitally manipulated photographic series and sculpture (plastic, ribbon, string, wood)This work is a depiction of the sense of community that was present across Brisbane City during the January 2011 Queensland floods. Using portraiture as a tool to express stories and emotion, the installation expresses the events of the floods through the human connection that is created between portrait subject and audience member. The sculptural form of the dream capture represents the way the Brisbane community united together to support each other and lift each other up during this difficult time.
